Restrictions of use due to the environment, weather or weather con-
ditions:
Protect the system against dirt, environmental and weather influences by
always keeping the zip of the pouch in which the system is located closed.
Do not use the jacket for long periods in heavy rain. The system is protec-
ted against splashing water, the system is IP54 protected, i.e. do not use
the system in heavy prolonged rain. Very low continuous temperatures
can also affect the service life, so check the battery power regularly using
the flashing light.
If you are not sure whether you can use the system in a specific environ-
ment or in certain weather conditions, please contact Skylotec GmbH.
1.5) Technical parameters of the SKYVEST:
• The trigger height is reached when the triggering conditions are met.
This is approximately after 1 m of free fall. It can also be triggered earlier
if the triggering conditions are met (see Unintentional triggering).
• The trigger point is after recognising a movement similar to free fall after
approx. 450 milliseconds (ms) and after the trigger conditions have been
reached.
• The protective effect begins after the airbag has inflated, which is usu-
ally after a fall from a height 1,30 metres.
• The full protective effect is achieved when an internal pressure of more
than 0,3 bar is reached, which is at a fall height of approx. 1,70 metres.
• The airbag does not lose any pressure in the first 2 seconds. After that,

Ladder fall 3: Tipping over with the lad-
der at a sensor height of > 2,0 m, pro-
tective effect given.
The protective effect starts at approx.
1,3 m. The optimum and tested ran-
ge is 1,7 m to 3,2 m. There is also a
protective effect above 3,2 m, but this
decreases with increasing height
