the back has been tested by TÜV Süd! There is also a certain degree of
impact protection for other areas covered by the airbag.
• In the area of application described, the tested shock-absorbing effect
on impact to the back is far more than 30% which is the minimum requi-
rement. Depending on the fall scenario, more or less protection can be
provided for the other areas.
1.2) Usability
The SKYVEST is reusable, you only need to replace the inflator. Please
read the instructions carefully before using the product for the first time
and familiarise yourself with its operation. You are welcome to take a look
at the information on our homepage.

1.3) Sensitivity of the SKYVEST and unintentional triggering
The system is very reliable as it recognises a large number of falls or fall-
like situations. To ensure that the system can recognise all falls at an early
stage, a large number of parameters are checked and the triggering is cal-
culated with the necessary sensitivity. Nevertheless, unintentional triggers
cannot be completely avoided. Movement sequences in everyday life or
during sport are often similar to those of a fall. Unintentional releases can
therefore occur. This is the case, for example, if the wearer of the jacket
jumps up into the air or if there is a similarly rapid loss of height as in a fall.
If the user runs down a staircase or ladder quickly or if the wearer swings
over an obstacle, lowers themselves on a pole, swings down on a railing
or jumps down from a ladder. These are just examples; it is not possible
to provide a complete list. It is important to ensure that you do not perform
any movements that are similar to a fall or physical free fall.
If you have activated the SKYVEST, please observe the warnings on the
labelling (see .15.4)
1.4) Limitations of the mode of operation
Working on the ladder:
If you climb up an unfixed ladder and the ladder tips over in a constant arc
(circular path), the airbag may be triggered with a slight delay if you are
holding on to the ladder or have fixed yourself to it, e.g. if you are attached
to the ladder with a safety harness. In this situation, there is a risk of the
airbag inflating too late or not being triggered at heights of less than 1,5 m.
Working on sloping surfaces and inclined planes:
In the event of a slip or fall on an inclined surface, e.g. on a slope, the
function of the system depends on whether the minimum free fall distance
(1 m) is achieved. There is a direct correlation between the inclination of
the ground and the nature of the contact surfaces.
