4.3.5 Measuring length – Linear application
Correct function and achieving the specified system
accuracies require that the tape length be greater than the
measuring length. There must be a reserve at the
beginning and end of the measuring area.

Magnetic tapes can be purchased by the roll approx. 48 m
in length or a precut tapes with a guaranteed length.
Correct function requires that the measuring range of the
sensor be matched to the tape.
