Temperature detection

The following temperature values are output by the BML as
signed 16-bit values in units of °C (Index 0x0052 (82)):
Subindex
Name
1
Current temperature
Minimum temperature
2
since start of operation
Maximum temperature
3

Minimum temperature
4
over the entire lifetime
Maximum temperature
5

Tab. 7-12: Structure of the temperature values
The temperature sensor detects the
temperature within the BML. This is always
higher than the ambient temperature.
7.5.6

Threshold values for the temperature warning

The BML allows you to define the following temperature
warning threshold (Index 0x0053 (83)):
Subindex
Name
Threshold for
1
temperature exceeded
Threshold for exceeded
2
temperature
Tab. 7-13: Structure of the threshold values
The thresholds can be set in a range of –25...+85 °C.
If these thresholds are exceeded or undershot, the BML
issues a warning (see Event list on page 35).
If the internal temperature of the BML exceeds
95 °C, an Overtemperature error is output.

7.5.8
The BML increments the permanently stored boot cycle
counter each time it is re-initialized. Both a system
command Device Reset as well as a hardware restart
result in the counter being incremented.
Use Index 0x0058 (88), Subindex 0 to read the 32-bit
value.
