In the event of a fault, clean the float valve and check operation
again. Then put the ultrasonic nebulizer into operation.
End of operation
After operation, lock the feed of the container, e.g., by closing the
knurled screw on the conducting set (E).
Disassembling the run-on system
1
Remove the run-on system (A) from the nebulizer chamber
and withdraw the conducting set (E) from the lid.
2
Prise the rubber ring (B) out of the groove through the mount-
ing hole using a blunt object and remove it.
3
Remove the float body (C) and the valve body (D) from the
float chamber.
NOTE
There must be no forces acting on the float chamber, float ball
or connecting pipe.
The conducting set (E) is a single-use product. After use, it must
be disposed of according to the applicable hospital, hygiene and
waste disposal regulations.
Cleaning and disinfection
After use, autoclave the run-on system and the nebulizer cham-
ber: 18 minutes at 134 °C, to be performed by experts.
Examine the interior of the float chamber, the valve seat and the
valve body for any deposits or solid matter. Remove them com-
pletely using tweezers, a cotton swab or lint-free cloth. Rinse all
parts carefully.
After using saline solutions clean the float valve as well.
NOTE
Even accessories designed to be reused have a limited service
life. Handling and reprocessing can increase wear and markedly
shorten service life (e.g., disinfectant residues can attack the
material more intensely during autoclaving). If signs of wear
become visible, such as cracks, deformation, discoloration,
peeling, etc., affected accessories must be replaced.
Assembling the run-on system after cleaning
Insert the valve body (D) with the conical tip into the valve seat, fit
the float body (C), insert the rubber ring (B) and make sure it is fit-
ted in the groove properly.
