During periodic inspections, the chain checks for the
following conditions:
• Loose pins
• Damaged rollers
• Dry and rusted chain links
• Chain links that are kinked or seized
• Excessive damage
• Adjust the loose chain
If the chain has the above problems, then the
sprocket will most likely be damaged. To check the
following on the sprocket:
• Excessively worn gear teeth
• Broken or damaged gear teeth
• Loose sprocket fixing nut.
Lubrication of the drive chain
Drive chain grease should be preferred for lubrica-
tion. Drive chain grease can be purchased at most
motorcycle shops, or oil or other lubricants can be
used instead. Dip the link joints to allow the grease
to penetrate between the plates, pins, bushings and
rollers.
Brake
The front and rear wheels of this vehicle are
equipped with disc brakes. Proper braking operation
is important for safe riding. Do remember to regu-
larly inspect the braking system, and this inspection
should be undertaken by a qualified dealer.
Brake adjustment
• The free stroke of the end of
the front brake lever should
be 10-20mm.
• Measure the distance that the
rear
brake
pedal
before the brake starts to act
as
a
brake.
Free
should be: 20 - 30mm.
Friction plate
The point of checking the front
wheel friction plate is to see if
the plate is worn to the limit
notch 1. If the scratches are
worn, the friction pads should be
replaced with new ones.
Brake fluid
After the friction lining is worn away, the fluid in the
reservoir cup will be automatically injected into the
brake hose and the fluid level will decrease accord-
ingly. The front brake fluid cup is installed above the
