q Indications for TC level selection
WARNING: The traction control (TC)
function has the optimum operating
conditions only with the tyres and the
secondary transmission ratio provided
in the original vehicle equipment and
recommended by MV Agusta (see §3.2.
of the Maintenance Manual). Using tyres
with dimensions other than those pre-
scribed may alter the characteristics
and the operational safety of TC func-
tion; therefore, we recommend not to
use tyres with dimensions other than
those homologated for your vehicle. In
the case of small differences (e.g. tyres
of brand and/or type different from
those provided in the original vehicle
equipment) or when using a secondary
transmission ratio different from the
one provided in the original vehicle

equipment, in order to restore the opti-
mum operating conditions it is advisa-
ble to perform the automatic learning of
tyre dimensions (TC2W) as described in
the following pages.
The intervention of the traction control is clo-
sely related to the level of the TC function. Level
1 corresponds to the minimum intervention condi-
tion of the traction control; level 8 corresponds to
the maximum intervention condition (intervention
at the slightest hint of slipping on the rear wheel).
Between levels 1 and 8, it is possible to select 6
further intermediate intervention levels, through
which it is possible to regularly increase the inter-
vention of the traction control.
Choosing the correct traction control level
depends from the following parameters:
- Grip conditions (type and wear of the tyres, type
of road surface, weather conditions, etc.);
- Characteristics of the track or route;
- Personal riding style.
