2) When you let go of the torch button, the current changes to
the FINAL CRATER CURRENT (CEC) value with a slope de-
fined by the SLOPE (SLO) parameter.
Subsequently, the current remains at the FINAL CRATER
CURRENT (CEC) for a period of time defined by the FINAL
CURRENT TIME (ECt) parameter, before ending the weld-
ing process.

1) Pressing the torch key will strike the arc and the current
remains at the CRATER START CURRENT (CSC) value.
2) The SLOPE (SLO) is achieved by releasing the torch key
and the current will change to rated value (WELDING CUR-
RENT).
3) The SLOPE (SLO) is achieved by pressing the torch key
and the current will change to CRATER END CURRENT
(CEC).
4) Releasing the key will end the welding cycle.
• SPOT WELDING (Spot).
Used for spot welding for preset length of time (in seconds) by
pressing the torch key, after which the arc automatically
switches off.
WELDING PROCEDURE SELECTION Key
Used for selecting 3 different welding procedures/modes:
• SYNERGIC MODE (SYN);
• MANUAL MODE (MAN);
• AUTOMATIC MODE (AUT).
This key is not active in the ELECTRODE and TIG processes with
"LIFT" type striking.
PROGRAMME SCROLLING Keys (+/-)
This button is used to list the programs furnished by the manu-
facturer in SYNERGIC mode, the welding points memorized by
the user and the welding sequences in AUTOMATIC mode (99
points).

RUN/MEM Key
Two functions are associated with this key:
• RUN function used for displaying operating details (materials,
diameter of wire, type of gas, etc.) of programmes supplied by
the manufacturers (in SYNERGIC mode) that can be accessed
by using the PROGRAMME SCROLLING keys
• MEM function used to memorize weld setting set by the user
(99 different automatic jobs in AUTOMATIC mode).
GAS PURGE Key
The solenoid valve is activated and the gas starts to come out
when this button is pressed or released. The gas stops coming
out, automatically, after 30 seconds or, manually, by pressing or
releasing the button.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS Key
This key is used to display and alter some of the basic funda-
mental welding parameters that were pre-set by the manufac-
turer in the factory beforehand. The parameters vary depending
on the process and the welding method applied, and are
memorised for each programme and automatic welding point.
WIRE TEST Key
This runs the motor for approximately 3 seconds at a fixed speed
(established by the maker) of 1m/min and the wire begins to move
forward as soon as this button is pressed. Then, in approximately
1 second, the motor accelerates to a speed of 8m/min. The pro-
cess terminates when the button is released. To continue moving
the wire forward, keep the button pressed down.
V - PARAMETERS SELECTION Key
Used to select the following parameters (if activated):
• WELDING VOLTAGE TRIMMING ADJUSTMENT - Welding volt-
age ranging between - 25% and + 25% of the set voltage with
a 1% interval for adjustment;
• WELDING VOLTAGE - parameter calculated according to the
type of welding selected:
- Welding voltage ranging between - 25% and + 25% of the
set voltage with a 1% interval for adjustment in SYNERGIC
mode;
- from 10V to 40V with an 0.1V interval for adjustment in
MANUAL mode;
• ELECTRONIC INDUCTANCE - parameter taking on various
meanings depending on the weld process selected:
- Changes in dynamic response of the machine (valid for the
MIG/MAG, MIG PULSED and MIG DUAL PULSED processes
with adjustment ranging between - 32 to + 32 and adjust-
ment interval at 1);
- Arc Force (valid for the MMA process with adjustment rang-
ing between 0 and 100 and adjustment interval at 1).
