Instructions for Use
Description
SpeedCEM is a self-adhesive, self-curing dental resin cement with light-
curing option for the cementation of indirect restorations made of high-
strength all-ceramic, composite, metal-ceramic and metal. When SpeedCEM
is used, additional dentin bonding agents are not required. The automix
syringe enables a time-saving direct application of the luting material into
the restoration.
Shades
SpeedCEM is available in three shades with various degrees of translucency:
– transparent
– yellow
– white opaque
Working and setting times
The following times apply as soon as SpeedCEM has been dispensed from
the automix syringe. (The working and setting times depend on the ambient
temperature):
At room temperature
23 °C ± 1 °C
Working time 150 ± 30 sec
Setting time (without 240 ± 60 sec
working time)
Attention
After SpeedCEM has been dispensed from the automix syringe, the setting
process can be accelerated by intensive illumination (operating light,
ambient light).
Composition
The monomer matrix is composed of dimethacrylates and acidic monomers.
The inorganic fillers are barium glass, ytterbium trifluoride, co-polymer and
highly dispersed silicon dioxide. Additional contents are catalysts, stabilizers
and colour pigments (< 1%). The primary particle size of the inorganic fillers
is between 0.1µm and 7µm. The mean particle size is 5µm. The total content
of inorganic fillers is approx. 40 vol%.
Indication
Permanent cementation of indirect restorations made of
– metal and metal-ceramic (inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, endodontic
posts)
– high-strength all-ceramic: zirconium oxide, lithium disilicate and
aluminium oxide ceramics (crowns, bridges, endodontic posts)
– fibre-reinforced composite (endodontic posts)
