Required tools and materials:

710D4 Torque Wrench, 636K13 Loctite® 241
1) Position the adapter plate on the lamination disc with the desired alignment (see fig. 17).
2) Set the chosen socket adapter onto the adapter plate (see fig. 18).
3) INFORMATION: Secure the screws with Loctite®.
Insert the screws through the socket adapter and the adapter plate into the lamination disc
and, in diagonal sequence, tighten them using a torque wrench (mounting torque: 12 Nm)
(see fig. 19).

5.3 Installing the Hoses

5.3.1 Optional: Installing the Intake Hose
An intake hose only needs to be installed if the lateral connector of the adapter plate will be used.
1) Connect the intake hose to the lateral connector of the adapter plate.
2) Run the intake hose to the intended connector of the prosthetic socket and connect it.

5.3.2 Installing the Outlet Hose

The suctioned air and fluids are drained through the outlet hose. Fluids must not be drained onto
metal components of the modular prosthesis. Increasing the length of the outlet hose lowers the
noise level of the vacuum pump.
CAUTION
Improper installation of the outlet hose
Skin irritation, formation of eczema or infections due to contamination with germs
Run the outlet hose in such a way that the hose opening is not directed towards parts of the
body or into the cosmetic cover.
1) Connect the outlet hose to the corresponding connector on the vacuum pump (see fig. 5).
2) If a cosmetic foam cover is used: Make an opening and route the outlet hose through the
cosmetic foam cover to the outside.
3) If no cosmetic cover is used: Route the outlet hose along the prosthesis to the prosthetic
foot and secure it.
4) Trim any excess outlet hose.
6 Usage

6.1 Installing the Vacuum Pump

Slide the vacuum pump onto the adapter plate. The connector for generating the vacuum is
plugged into the adapter plate. The vacuum pump is secured with the Torx offset screwdriver to
prevent it from being inadvertently pulled out.
1) If the outlet hose is attached to the prosthesis: Connect the vacuum pump with the outlet
hose.
2) Set the vacuum pump onto the guide rails of the adapter plate diagonally from above, and
slide it on horizontally to the stop (see fig. 20).
3) Insert the offset screwdriver into the opening on the side of the vacuum pump (see fig. 21).

6.2 Operating the Vacuum Pump

The vacuum pump offers several modes for selection by the user. It is operated via a selector
switch on the housing. There is an automatic mode, 4 constant vacuum modes and a reverse
mode. In automatic mode, the activity level is determined based on the pressure fluctuations with
