+ = anterior placement / – = posterior placement (in relation to the alignment reference
line)
Item
see fig. 1, see fig. 2

Exterior foot rotation:
approx. 5°

Positioning of the alignment reference point (front upper axis of the prosthetic knee
joint) in the alignment apparatus:
MTP-floor measurement + 20 mm
a–p positioning of the alignment reference point to the alignment reference line:
0 mm
External rotation of the prosthetic knee joint:
approx. 5°

Join the prosthetic foot with the prosthetic knee joint using the tube adapter.
Observe the adapter instructions for use during adaptation and installation.

Mark 2 centre points laterally on the prosthetic socket:
1. At the level of the trochanter major
2. In the distal region
Join the two points with a line.

Position the prosthetic socket so its proximal point lies on the alignment reference line.
Set the socket flexion to 3° to 5°. Take the individual situation of the patient into
account.

Join the prosthetic socket and the prosthetic knee joint using the adapters you selec
ted.
Be sure to follow the adapter instructions for use during adjustment and installation.
INFORMATION: The connection area of the prosthetic knee joint can be protected against
scratches with the protective film of the 2Z11=KIT during alignment in the workshop and testing
in the trial fitting area.
► Use the protective film as illustrated in the accompanying document for the 2Z11=KIT.
► Remove the protective film before the patient leaves the fitting area.
Use 2Z11=KIT

5.3 Static Alignment

+ = anterior placement / – = posterior placement (in relation to the alignment reference line)
Item
see fig. 1
Required materials and tools:
743L100 L.A.S.A.R. Posture

To determine the load line, position the patient on the L.A.S.A.R. Posture as follows:
Prosthesis side on force measurement plate (sufficient load: > 35% body weight)
Other side on height compensation plate

Optimise the static alignment solely by changing the plantar flexion.
a–p positioning of the front lower axis of the prosthetic knee joint to the load line:
-10 mm

5.4 Installing the hoses

The hoses can be installed after completing the bench alignment and static alignment.
