10. Maintenance and repairs

Warning!
Risk of injuries from components coming loose or leaking
material.
If maintenance work is performed while the gun is still connected to the
compressed air circuit and material supply, components can unexpect-
edly work loose and material can leak.
→ Disconnect the spray gun from the compressed air circuit and the
material supply before any maintenance work.
→ Depressurise the system.
All parts of the spray gun that convey material, the material supply and
lines are under high pressure (up to 250 bar).
→ Hoses and connection systems must be rated accordingly.
The following chapter describes the procedures involved for maintaining
and servicing the spray gun. Maintenance and service work may only be
carried out by specialist personnel.
■ Disconnect the compressed air supply from the compressed air connec-
tion [1-8] and the material supply from the material connection [1-10]
before any maintenance and service work.
Spare parts are available for carrying out repairs (see chapter 16).
10.1. Replace nozzle parts
Dismantle material nozzle
■ Unscrew air cap ring and contact protection [8-1] by hand.
■ Remove air cap [8-2] together with material nozzle [8-3].
Remove the pre-nozzle, hard metal ball tip and paint needle
■ Unscrew pre-nozzle [8-4] using the SATA universal spanner.
■ Unscrew the end screw [8-8] with the SATA Combi-Tool.
■ Remove the spring [8-7].
■ Unscrew the hard metal ball tip (spanner size 4) [8-5] using the SATA
spanner (holding the end of the needle firmly with a screwdriver).
■ Remove paint needle [8-6].
Fit a new pre-nozzle, hard metal ball tip and paint needle
