► Keep a minimum clearance of C = 10.6 in. (27 cm) from
obstacles.
► If routing the perimeter wire in confined areas, keep a
minimum clearance of two times the length C of the STIHL
iMow Ruler (21.3 in. (54 cm)), @ 11.4.
D = 0.8 in. (2 cm)
Maximum height difference the robotic mower
can cross.
If the height difference between the grass and other surface
(e.g., path, patio) is less than 0.8 in. (2 cm), you may install
the perimeter wire adjacent to the other surface:
► Route the perimeter wire without clearance to the
obstacle.
► Take care to avoid damaging the perimeter wire when
using a line trimmer or edging in that area.
► If necessary, install the perimeter wire at a slight distance
of 0.8 in. to 1.2 in. (2 cm to 3 cm) from the lawn edge.

► If the height difference between the surfaces is more than
0.8 in. (2 cm), route the perimeter wire at minimum
distance of C = 10.6 in. (27 cm) from the other surface or
obstacle.
