3.11 ASPIRATOR

The fan (Fig. 36) creates a vacuum inside the distributors, so that
the seeds are aspirated onto the holes in the plate. The fan
group gets the movement from the cardan shaft at 540 r.p.m.
Comply with the number of rpm recommended for the power
take-off.
Its function is to create the necessary vacuum in order to keep
the seeds attached to the holes on the seed table and then to
blow them keeping the holes clean, after the seed dropping out.
All operations must be carried out by expert personnel,
equipped with protective gloves, in a clean and dust-free
environment.
Vacuum (1, Fig. 36)
Indicates vacuum of intake from 0 to -100 mbar. The average
indicative suction values for small seeds is -35 ÷ -40 mbar, for
pilled seeds -55 ÷ -60 mbar.
Adjust the element using the diaphragm (4, Fig. 36) installed at
the centre of the air conveyor; increase suction by closing the
door.
Gauge (2, Fig. 36)
Indicates blowing pressure from 0 to 25 mbar. The average
indicative suction values for small seeds is 8 ÷10 mbar.
Reach the above data raising the PTO shaft rpm and operating
on plate (3), opening the plates to diminish and shutting them yo
increase, in both of cases, vacuum and/or blowing pressure.
IMPORTANT
In order to allow a good fan cooling, do never work with the plate
(3) completely shut. If you do not reach the above operating data
increase revolutions of the PTO shaft.
The tensioning and good condition of the belt are therefore of
vital importance to ensure the good for the good operation of the
aspirator and, hence, the success of the sowing.
Make sure that the universal joint is disconnected from the
power take-off before carrying out the following operations:
Belt checking procedure:
- Remove the protective housing
- Loosen the screws (1, Fig. 37);
- Loosen the nut (2, Fig. 37);
- If worn, replace the belt;
- Tension the belt by tightening the screws (3, Fig. 37);
- Tighten the bolts loosened before and close the casing.

3.12 SEED ASPIRATOR DEVICE

The machine is equipped with a seed aspirator (Fig. 38), which
recovers the unutilized amount of seeds left in the seed tank,
when seeding is over.
USE:
Open the valve (2, Fig. 38) downline of the recovery box (1) and fit
the pipe end in the seed tanks. Stop the tractor and engage the
parking brake before starting the PTO for seed aspiration.
