TWISTR
Reamer
DESCRIPTION
The TWISTR™ Retrograde Reamer ("Retroreamer") is
a disposable outside-in retrograde reamer that consists
of a drill pin with deployable blade and an outer sleeve
with graduated markings. The TWISTR Retroreamer
can accommodate a range of diameters (6-12 mm
in half millimeter increments) in a single device. The
TWISTR Retroreamer sleeve is circumferentially laser
marked in 5 mm increments to assist in measuring
tunnel depth.
MATERIALS
• Retroreamer: Stainless steel, polycarbonate, ABS,
and EPDM
• Retroreamer Sleeve: Stainless steel, polycarbonate,
and EPDM
INDICATIONS
The TWISTR Retrograde Reamer is intended for
general surgical use during orthopedic procedures.
INTENDED USE
The Mitek Sports Medicine TWISTR Retrograde
Reamer is intended to assist in the creation of bone
sockets and tunnels. The Retrograde Reamer can be
used with the MITEK CRUCIATE + Guide System.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
None Known
WARNINGS
• In skeletally immature patients, care must be taken
to avoid disrupting the growth plate.
• This product is for single-use only. It has not been
designed to be re-used/re-sterilized. Reprocessing
may lead to changes in material characteristics such
as deformation and material degradation which may
compromise device performance. Reprocessing
of single use instruments can also cause cross-
contamination leading to patient infection. These
risks may potentially affect patient safety.
• Instruments may have sharp cutting edges that will
puncture skin.
