• Cleat Installation:
WARNING: before use, be sure that the
cleats are sufficiently secured, tightened
to your shoes before engaging.
Attach the cleat to the sole of the shoe
using the cleat fixing screws (1) and the
rectangular washers (2) provided (or re-
commended) with the cleats.

Cleat adjustment:
Step 1: Horizontal (side-to-side) cleat positioning: center the cleat on the sole (screw holes centered in
each of the three cleat attachment windows).
2
Step 2: Vertical (toe-to-heel) cleat positioning: Most experts consider that the pedal-axle mark (3) (that
indicates the location of the pedal axle) should be positioned below the ball of the foot: see diagram on
opposite page.
The ball of your foot is located between the arch and your big toe.
Step 3: Once the cleat is positioned as described above, fasten the cleat to the sole using the cleat fixing
screws along with the rectangular washers. Tighten the screws using a 3mm Allen key or a flathead
screwdriver. Tightening torque should be between 5.5 and 6 Nm (between 4 and 4.5 lbf-ft).
Step 4: Wearing your cleated shoes, engage your feet into the pedals and ride your bike a few meters.
3
If your heels touch the chainstays or if your feel undo tension or stress in your calves or knee, slightly
reposition your cleat. Repeat the operation until you feel fully comfortable throughout the pedal stroke.
