Maintenance

– Service the device at regular intervals. The intervals and
activities are defined in the maintenance schedule by the
person responsible for the gas detection system.
Dräger recommends carrying out the following activities
every 6 months:
– Test the signal chain by applying target gas to the
sensor.
– Check the LED display functionality with the Dräger
PolySoft configuration software.
– Service the sensor (e.g., change selective filter).
– Calibrate the sensor (see "Calibration", page 27).
– Observe valid national regulations regarding maintenance
(e.g., EN 60079-29-2, EN 45544-4, T021/T023).

Conventions in this document
This document refers to the gas detector Polytron
6100 EC WL and the repeater Dräger Polytron Repeater ISA.
The term "gas detector" is used for all contents. Contents
relating to the measuring function apply only to the gas
detector Polytron 6100 EC WL.

Feature description

3.2.1 Dräger Polytron 6100 EC WL
The Dräger Polytron 6100 EC WL is a fixed gas detector for
monitoring toxic gases and oxygen. The gas detector includes
a repeater feature for forwarding data from other
ISA100 Wireless
network users.
Operation is carried out with a battery pack or a wired power
supply.
The gas detector is integrated into anISA100 Wireless
network with gateway, router and controller. The controller is
theDräger REGARD 7000 or a PLC, for example. Normal
ranges are up to 500 m in the free field.
Operation and configuration
The general device status is signaled via the LED display.
Operation and configuration takes place with the Dräger
PolySoft configuration software. The connection with PolySoft
is established via the ISA100 Wireless
®
integrated Bluetooth
interface.
