PLEASE NOTE!
The installation and operation of the filter system is subject to the BG rules "Arbeiten in Küchenbetrieben" [Working in Kitchen Opera-
f
tions] from the BGZ specialist committee "Nahrung- und Genussmittel" [Food and Luxury Goods] (BGR111). The filter system has under-
gone hygienic inspection in accordance with Section 7.4 DIN 18879-1.
The materials were selected in accordance with the requirements of DIN 18879-1 and EN 14898.
f
The pressure resistance of the filter system corresponds to DIN 18879-1.
f
The desalinated water (permeate) must not be used as drinking water.
f
Where the RO device is used for food applications, all permeate consumers shall be cleaned and flushed well before use.
f
Avoid storing the device for unnecessarily long periods in order to prevent the risk of stagnation contamination.
f
If the municipal water is treated with oxidising disinfectants (chlorine, chlorine dioxide etc.), an upstream active carbon filter is essential.
f
Further pre-treatment must be defined depending on the feed water quality.
Boiling tap water before consumption is recommended for certain groups of people (e.g. infants, those with weakened immune systems).
f
This also applies to filtered water.
The filter contains small quantities of silver in order to suppress the growth of germs. A small quantity of silver may be released into the
f
water. It is harmless and in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The magnesium content of the water increases slightly during the filter process. Those required to maintain a special low-magnesium
f
diet should contact their doctor.
3.4 Responsibility of the operator
The installation and operating instructions must be stored in immediate proximity to the de-
vice and accessible at all times.
The device may only be operated in a technically flawless and safe state.
The information in these installation and operating instructions shall be followed in full.
3.5
Warranty and disclaimer
The filter cartridge comes with a two-year guarantee.
The information and recommendations provided and the local drinking water and disposal provi-
sions applicable in the place of operation must be adhered to. All information and instructions in
these installation and operating instructions are in line with the application standards and provi-
sions, the state of the art, and our many years of experience and expertise. BWT accepts no lia-
bility for damage or consequential damage resulting from the following:
Failure to adhere to information and instructions in the installation and operating instructions
Improper use
Improper, incorrect installation
Improper operation
Mechanical damage to the device
Unilateral alterations

Use of non-approved components
3.6
Qualified staff (reading the EBA)
Only specialist staff and those who have received instruction may install, commission and main-
tain the device.
The instructed person has been informed of the tasks assigned to him and of the potential
risks of improper use and behaviour.
Due to their specialist training, expertise, experience and knowledge of the relevant provi-
sions, specialist staff are able to install, commission and maintain the device.
3.7
Pressure
Minimal operating pressure is required in order to guarantee optimum function of the device. In
addition, the water pressure should not exceed the maximum permissible pressure.
I
CAUTION!
The feed water inlet pressure must always be between 0.1 and 0.4 MPa (1 and 4 bar) directly at the RO.
f
If the pressure is higher than 0.4 MPa (4 bar), a pressure reduction valve shall be installation.
f
If the pressure is lower than 0.1 MPa (1 bar), a pressure booster system shall be installed upstream.
