NOTES TO MEMORISATION AND
PROGRAMMING
5.1 - In general
- All programming procedures described in this manual can only be carried out with
a transmitter memorised according to the procedure described in paragraph 6.1
("Mode I").
- If the transmitter has the option of controlling single automation groups, during
programming, before sending a command, select the group to which the related
automation belongs.
- Before programming disconnect all the receivers not to be programmed from the
power supply.
- Strictly observe the time limits specified in the procedures.
5.2 - Positions in which the blind stops
automatically
The motor is fitted with an electronic system that controls the movement of the blind
detecting its position every instant. This system will autonomously stop the blind
when it reaches a certain position. Different programmable positions are available
(fig. 3): position "0" (= upper limit position with blind totally retracted), position "1" (=
lower limit position with blind totally extended) and various intermediate positions "H"
(up to 30) which enable the user to leave the blind partially open/closed.
Until the limit positions are memorised, the blind can only be moved in "hold-to-run"
mode, i.e. keeping the control button pressed for the entire manoeuvre. The move-
ment stops when the button is released.
Once the limit positions have been programmed to send a command simply press
the required button: this will start the movement of the blind which will stop as soon
as it will reach the required position.
During the memorisation of the limit positions, the correct association between the
motor rotation direction and the Up (s) and Down (t) buttons is created. Before
memorisation, the association is random and the blind may go Down when the s
button is pressed instead of going Up and vice versa.
Caution! - The procedures to memorise the limit positions must be performed after
having installed and connected the power motor and after having completely
installed the blind.

BASIC PROGRAMMING
6.1 - Memorizing the FIRST transmitter (MODE I)
Caution!
– "Mode I" memorization procedure is described in paragraph 8.2.
– Before following this procedure check if other transmitters have been memorised on the motor. If at least one transmitter is already memorised, do NOT
use this procedure to memorise others; read chapter 8 carefully.
Check as follows: disconnect the power supply (if active) then reconnect and check the reaction of the blind:
• (after approx. 2 seconds) > 2 movements > 5-second pause > 2 movements = no transmitter memorised.
• (after approx. 2 seconds) > 2 movements > 5-second pause > no movement = First transmitter memorised; no limit positions memorised.
• (after approx. 2 seconds) > no movement = basic programming complete; First transmitter memorised; limit positions memorised.
Warning – To cancel the procedure during execution, press buttons n and t on the transmitter at the same time and hold them until the blind completes 6
movements, then release the buttons.

At the end of programming, the Up and Down directions of the blind are still not associated with but-
tons s and t of the transmitter. This association is automatic during programming of limit positions
"0" and "1" (read paragraph 6.2 / 6.3).

5.3 - Motor signals
During the memorisation and programming procedure, the motor performs a num-
ber of small movements in "response" to the command sent by the installer.
Caution!
- The direction of travel (up or down) of these movements is not important, but it is
important to count the NUMBER of movements performed.
- 1 forward movement and 1 backward movement correspond to 2 movements.
5.4 - Other motor signals
- The motor makes 2 very short interruptions at the start of the manoeuvre and
then resumes movement = no limit position is memorised.
- The motor makes 1 very short interruption at the start of the manoeuvre and
then resumes movement = only 1 limit position is memorised.
- A key or button is pressed to send a command ("hold-to-run" mode) and the
manoeuvre starts but stops shortly afterwards without completing the move-
ment = the memory of the motor should be completely cleared following the pro-
cedure in paragraph 9.1 and reprogrammed.
01. Disconnect the power supply to the tubu-
lar motor for 2 seconds and then recon-
nect. The blind completes 2 movements
+ 5-second pause + 2 movements. (= no
THE
transmitter memorised).
END
02. (within 5 seconds) On the transmitter:
press and hold button n for a few sec-
onds; then release after the blind has
completed 3 movements (= memorisa-
tion complete).
