MEMORISING OTHER TRANSMITTERS

Read the whole of chapter 8 before
memorising a transmitter.
This chapter describes various ways of memorising or deleting transmitters.
Some methods aim to extend the control options of a transmitter; for example
it is possible to control more than one automation simultaneously using one sin-
gle transmitter, or it is possible to control more than one automation with just
one transmitter by associating an automation with a single button that carries
out different commands each time it is pressed.
8.1 - Compatible radio transmitters

8.2 - Two different ways of memorising transmit-
ter buttons: "MODE I" and "MODE II"
Transmitter buttons can be memorised in two alternative ways: "Mode I" and
"Mode II".
• "Mode I" – During execution of one of the procedures included in this mode
the system automatically associates the controls available on the automation
with every button on the transmitter. The final result is the simultaneous memo-
risation of all buttons, associated with the following controls:
- button s (or button 1): this is associated with the Up command
- button n (or button 2): this is associated with the Stop command
- button t (or button 3): this is associated with the Down command
(if there is a fourth button on the transmitter...)
- button 4: this is associated with the Stop command
Refer to fig. 4.
• "Mode II" – During execution of one of the procedures included in this mode,
the installer associates the required command (from those available on the
automation system), with the required button on a transmitter. After this, to
associate another command with another button simply repeat the procedure.
Every automation has its own list of commands than can be memorised using
Mode II; refer to the automation manual to select the command to be associat-
ed with the transmitter button. The list of commands available for this motor
can be found in the procedure described in paragraph 8.6.

8.3 - Check to be performed before memorising
a transmitter
VERY IMPORTANT – Before memorising a transmitter check if there are
any transmitters already memorised on the motor. Then proceed as fol-
lows:
Disconnect the power supply (if active) then reconnect and check the reaction
of the blind:
• (after approx. 2 seconds) > 2 movements > 5-second pause > 2 move-
ments = no transmitter memorised.
• (after approx. 2 seconds) > 2 movements > 5-second pause > no move-
ment = First transmitter memorised; no limit positions memorised.
• (after approx. 2 seconds) > no movement = basic programming complete;
First transmitter memorised; limit positions memorised.
Caution! – If the check shows that no transmitter is memorised, refer to
procedure in paragraph 6.1 to memorise the FIRST transmitter.
8.4 - General information on memorising trans-
mitters
• The motor memory is divided into 30 slots. One slot can memorise either all
buttons of a transmitter ("Mode I") or a single button of a transmitter ("Mode II").
• At the end of a memorisation procedure the motor may perform:
- 3 movements if memorisation has been completed correctly;
- 6 movements if the motor memory is full.
