Once in a button-programming mode, the [+]
and [-] buttons are used to navigate through
the various stages of the particular program.
Short audible beeps are used to confirm
button presses.
LED colors/effects and medium or long audible
beeps are used to indicate current position
within a program, and also act as prompts for
the clinician to carry out certain activities.
Navigation Notes
To enter Button-Programming mode for
Calibration/Adjustment:
• Press both [+] and [-] buttons
simultaneously twice in quick succession.
To enter Button-programming mode for
factory reset:
• Press both [+] and [-] buttons
simultaneously three times in quick
succession.
Note... Each simultaneous press of the [+] and
[-] buttons together has to be held long enough
for the device to register the combined press
as a single action (confirmed with two short
beeps), before releasing.
To move forward or backward through stages
of the program:
• Press of the [+] or [-] button respectively
once.
After each single press is registered, the
device confirms with one short beep.
Entering a "Prepare to Enter... " mode is
confirmed by two medium or two long beeps,
and the LED flashing in the color associated
with the corresponding adjustment/
calibration mode.
Entering an adjustment/calibration mode is
indicated by between 3 and 6 medium beeps
depending on the mode, and by the LED
illumination changing from flashing to steady.
To exit button programming at any point in
the program:
• Press and hold [-] button until confirmed by
two long beeps, and then release. The LED
extinguishes to confirm exit.
If there is no button activity within a certain
time period, the program (adjustment/
calibration mode, or factory reset mode) will
automatically time-out and exit.

Calibration/Adjustment
Normal Flow Sequence
Refer to Flow Diagram A.
Power on the device and, following the solid
arrow flow, go through each programming
stage in the order given to enter Button-
programming mode for calibration/
adjustment, and complete all four calibration/
adjustment procedures and their associated
activities.
Note that each calibration/adjustment
procedure has an associated LED color, and
each procedure has two distinct programming
modes:
• Prepare to Enter... mode, indicated by the
LED flashing in the color associated with
that procedure
• Calibration/adjustment mode, indicated
by the LED illuminating steady in the color
associated with that procedure.
Note also that the activity associated with
the "Prepare to Enter... " mode must be
completed before moving on to the associated
calibration/adjustment mode and carrying out
its associated calibration or adjustment.
When all four calibration/adjustment
procedures have been successfully completed
in order, the program enters the Calibration
Complete stage and the LED flashes green.
To finish and exit Button Programming:
• Press [+] once. (or press and hold [-])
Two long beeps sound and the LED
extinguishes to confirm exit.
