Unpacking

Responsibility
– Operator
Check the appliance for damage before and during
unpacking.
In the event of damage, promptly contact the mainten-
ance service (see →Maintenance services).
WARNING
Dispose of packaging material and
film.
Suffocation hazard.
▪ Keep packaging material and film away
from children.
▪ Do not allow children to play with pack-
aging material or film.
Damage to the refrigerant circuit.
Flammable refrigerant can escape and cause
an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire hazard.
▪ Ensure good ventilation.
▪ Observe safety notices and warnings for
appliances with flammable refrigerants
(see →Flammable refrigerants).
▪ In the event of damage to the appliance,
promptly contact the maintenance service
(see →Maintenance services).

▪ Do not climb onto or into the unit.
▪ Read the instructions on the packaging.
▪ In the event of questions, contact the main-
tenance service (see →Maintenance ser-

▪ Take care of fingers and hands when un-
packing.
▪ Use protective gloves.
NOTICE
Material and property damage due to missing
parts in the appliance.
▪ Check the packaging for loose parts.
▪ Do not dispose of loose parts; clarify their use with
the maintenance service (see →Maintenance ser-
vices).

Setup and installation

Do not cover the temperature display, safety notes, or
the rating plate (see →Rating plate and serial num-
ber).

▪ Do not climb onto or into the unit.
▪ Read the instructions on the packaging.
▪ In the event of questions, contact the main-
tenance service (see →Maintenance ser-
vices).
Damage to the refrigerant circuit.
Flammable refrigerant can escape and cause
an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire hazard.
▪ Do not close the ventilation openings in the
unit housing. Only use original accessories.
▪ Only install the appliance in well-ventilated
rooms.
▪ Do not install the appliance in cellars or
lowered rooms.
▪ Ducts and wall bushings must be sealed
under and behind the unit to protect
against fire.
▪ The operator must not drill into the appli-
ance or carry out any other work on it.
▪ Do not squeeze or bend pipes.
CAUTION
Material breakage.
Risk of falling. Risk of impact due to the pos-
sibility of products falling. Cutting injuries.
▪ Do not climb onto or into the unit.
NOTICE
Material and property damage in the event of
incorrect positioning.
▪ Place the appliance in a stable operating position
(horizontal alignment).
▪ Do not expose the unit to direct heat radiation at the
installation site.
▪ Do not expose the device at the installation site to
the direct action of air conditioning and ventilation.
▪ Do not install the appliance outdoors.
Material and property damage due to accumu-
lation of warm exhaust air (heat accumula-
tion).
▪ Exhaust air must be able to escape unhindered at
the top and rear of the appliance.
▪ Maintain a minimum distance from the wall. The
minimum distance is defined by wall spacers on the
rear of the appliance.
▪ "Back to back" installation is not permissible.
▪ Superstructures or false ceilings directly on the up-
per edge of the appliance may only be installed in
consultation with the manufacturer.
▪ Do not set down any objects on the appliance.
