3.2. PREPARING FOR USE
APPLIANCE LOCATION
Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device
is being used. There should be at least 10 cm distance
between each side of the device and the wall or other
objects. Keep the product away from hot surfaces. The
device should always be used when positioned on an
even, stable, clean, fireproof and dry surface, and be out
of the reach of children and persons with limited mental
and sensory functions. Position the device such that you
always have access to the power plug. The power cord
connected to the appliance must be properly grounded
and correspond to the technical details on the product
label.
ASSEMBLING THE DEVICE
The HOT AIR crank handle should be fixed to the device.
Model S-LS-70
There is a safety screw at the base of the device, it must be
removed before connecting to the power supply.

3.3. DEVICE USE
Model S-LS-69
1.
Place the device on a flat, stable surface and place
the soldering irons in the holders.
2.
Connect the soldering iron lead to the socket.

Connect the device to the power supply.
4.
Turn the device on using the power switch.
5.
The display will turn on and be in standby mode.

6.
HOT AIR soldering iron
To turn on the HOT AIR soldering iron , press the
"▲" button, "CH1" will appear at the bottom of
the display.
The device is in sleep mode ("SLP" will appear on
the display) until the soldering iron is out of the
holder.
When you lift the soldering iron, the display will
show the last temperature setting.
To change the temperature value, press and hold
the "▲" or "▼" buttons for approx. 3 seconds.
Use the knob to adjust the air flow.
To turn off the HOT AIR soldering iron , press the
"▲" button, the device will continue to operate
until the temperature drops below 100° C and
then the airflow will stop working.

The soldering iron
To turn the soldering iron on, press the "▼"
button at the bottom of the display
The display shows the last temperature set,
followed by the current temperature.
To change the temperature value, press and hold
the "▲" or "▼" buttons for approx. 3 seconds.
Pressing the "▼" button puts the soldering iron
into the sleep mode.

HOT AIR /soldering iron calibration
An external temperature sensor must be
connected to complete the calibration (not
included).
Following the heating element, soldering tip,
HOT AIR soldering iron replacement, calibrate
the temperature.
Use the "CH1/CH2" button to select "CH1" to
calibrate the HOT AIR soldering iron./Select
"CH2" to calibrate the soldering iron.
HOT AIR flask calibration - press and hold the
"CH1/CH2" and "▲" buttons simultaneously
for 3 seconds, and the temperature calibration
mode will be activated. "CAL" will appear on
the left hand side of the screen and "CH1" will
"flash".
Soldering iron calibration - press and hold the
"CH1/CH2" "▼" buttons simultaneously for 3
seconds, the temperature calibration mode will
be activated. "CAL" will appear on the left side of
the screen and "CH2" will "flash".
Use the "▲" or "▼" button to set the value of
the correction difference (the calibration range
is -50°C ~ 50°C).
After selecting the appropriate temperature
calibration value, save the settings by pressing
the "CH1/CH2" button.
9.
Changing the temperature units
The device must be turned off before changing
the units.
Press and hold the „CH1/CH2" button and turn
on the device. The units will be changed.
10.
After you have finished work, place the soldering
irons in the holders and turn off the device.

Error message
"S-E" message on the display means that there
is a problem with the sensor in the soldering
iron or that the soldering iron is disconnected.
"H – E" message on the display means that the
heating element cable or a part of the circuit is
damaged.
Model S-LS-70
1.
Place the device on a flat, stable surface and place
the HOT AIR soldering iron in the holder.
2.
Connect the device to the power supply.
3.
Install a suitable nozzle in the flask.
4.
Turn the device on using the power switch.
5.
The current temperature appears on the display.
6.
Set the desired temperature using the knob.
7.
Set the appropriate air flow using the knob.
8.
Temperature calibration
After replacing the tip of the HOT AIR soldering
iron, calibrate the temperature.
An external temperature sensor must be
connected to complete the calibration (not
included).
Simultaneously press and hold the "SET/START"
button and turn the temperature knob. Set the
appropriate correction value (calibration range
is -50°C ~ 50°C).

Changing the temperature units
The device must be turned off before changing
the units.
Press and hold the „SET/START" button and
turn on the device. The units will be changed.
10.
Standby mode setting
Press and hold the "SET/START" button and,
at the same time, turn the airflow adjustment
knob. Set the appropriate value (range from 20
to 600 seconds).
After pressing the "SET/START" button, the
device turns on.
To turn off the mode, set the time to "OFF".
11.
When you have finished work, place the HOT AIR
soldering iron in the holder and turn off the device.
12.
Error message
"S-E" message on the display means that there
is a problem with the sensor in the soldering
iron or that the soldering iron is disconnected.
"H – E" message on the display means that the
heating element cable or a part of the circuit is
damaged.
Model S-LS-73
1.
Place the device on a flat, stable surface and place
the HOT AIR soldering iron in the holder.
2.
Connect the device to the power supply.
3.
Install a suitable nozzle in the flask.
4.
Turn the device on using the power switch.
5.
The display will turn on and show the last
temperature setting. Then, it will go into the sleep
mode (the display will show "SLP"). The device is in
sleep mode until the soldering iron is lifted from the
holder.
6.
Temperature
To change the temperature value, press the 'UP'
or 'DOWN' buttons.
7.
Fast access
Pressing
and
holding
the
"STORE/CALL"
button saves the current temperature and
airflow values. When you press the button, the

parameters will change to their saved values.
The "UP" button resets the temperature.
8.
Changing the temperature units

Press and hold the „ STORE/CALL" button and
turn on the device. The units will be changed.
9.
Temperature calibration
An external temperature sensor must be
connected to complete the calibration (not
included).
Adjust the screw (CAL) using a small screwdriver).
Turning the screwdriver clockwise will increase
the temperature, while turning it clockwise
will decrease the temperature. Compare the
temperature with the temperature sensor
readings, if necessary set the temperature
difference repeating the steps.
10.
The sleep mode
The device will go into standby mode after
you place the soldering iron in the holder. The
temperature will drop below 100° C, the display
will show "SLP".
11.
After you have finished work, place the soldering
irons in the holders and turn off the device.
12.
Error message
"S-E" message on the display means that there
is a problem with the sensor in the soldering
iron or that the soldering iron is disconnected.
"H – E" message on the display means that the
heating element cable or a part of the circuit is
damaged.

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Unplug the mains plug and allow the device to cool
completely before each cleaning, adjustment or
replacement of accessories, or if the device is not
being used.
b)
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
c)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
d)
Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge
it in water.
e)
Do not allow water to get inside the device through
vents in the housing of the device.
f)
Clean the vents with a brush and compressed air.
g)
The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical efficiency and spot any damage.
h)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects for cleaning
(e.g. a wire brush or a metal spatula) because they
may damage the surface material of the appliance.
i)
The outer cover of the device can be cleaned
with a damp cloth, using a small amount of liquid
detergent. Do not use solvents to clean the cover.
DISPOSING OF USED DEVICES
Do not dispose of this device in municipal waste systems.
Hand it over to an electric and electrical device recycling
and collection point. Check the symbol on the product,
instruction manual and packaging. The plastics used
to construct the device can be recycled in accordance
with their markings. By choosing to recycle you are
making a significant contribution to the protection of our
environment. Contact local authorities for information on
your local recycling facility.
