Installation of the car seat with Base Z2

1. Keep the Driving Direction Control (D.D.C.) button (21) downward and ensure
the base is adjusted for rearward facing car seats at least until your child has
reached a size of 76 cm and is older than 15 months.
2. Fold out the Load leg (3) until it locks into its foremost position. An acoustic
warning signal will sound until the load leg has been correctly installed
3. Release the ISOFIX-Release buttons (6) to extend the ISOFIX-Locking arms
(7).
The ISOFIX-Release buttons can both be released independently allowing the
ISOFIX-Locking arms to be adjusted independently.
4. Push the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) out of the base to their furthest extent.
5. Place the base (2) on an appropriate seat in the vehicle.
6. Push the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) into the ISOFIX-Anchorage points (8) until
these lock into place with an audible "CLICK". The two ISOFIX-Indicators (9)
will switch from RED to GREEN.
7. Ensure the base is secure by trying to pull it out of the ISOFIX-Anchorage
points (8).
8. Push the Base (2) towards the backrest of the vehicle seat until it is fully
aligned with the backrest.
Moving the base from side to side will also brace it against the vehicle backrest.
9. Press the Load leg adjustment button (10) and extend the leg until it touches
the vehicle floor.
10. Pull the Load leg (3) out to the next locking position to ensure optimal force
transmission.
11. The Load leg indicator (11) switches to GREEN when the load leg is correctly
positioned on the vehicle floor and the acoustic warning signal stops.
12. Place the car seat on the Base (2).
13. Please ensure that the car seat locks into place with an audible "CLICK".
14. Check whether the Seat locking indicator (12) on the base is GREEN.
15. In order to achieve the best possible protection, activate the Linear side-
impact protection (13) on the side of the car seat facing the vehicle door. To
do this, press the L.S.P Release button (14).
The car seat can also be used without the L.S.P. in use, if there is not enough
space in the vehicle. To do this, press the L.S.P Release button and fold the
L.S.P back simultaneously

REMOVAL FROM THE VEHICLE
1. To unlock the car seat from the base (2) pull the seat release handle (15) up.
2. Tilt the seat slightly and lift it off the base (2).
3. Unlock the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) on both sides by pressing the ISOFIX-
Release buttons (6) and at the same time pulling them back.
4. Pull out the Base (2) from the ISOFIX-Anchorage points (8).
5. Remove the Base (2) and slide the ISOFIX-Locking arms (7) completely back
into their transport positions.
6. Push the Load leg (3) back into its original position and then fold it in to save
space.
7. It is important to fully fold in the load leg so that the acoustic warning is muted.
There is a Load leg parking position (16) indicated on the underside of the
base.
ADJUSTING THE HEADREST
The adjustable Headrest (17) can be adjusted by using the Headrest adjustment
handle (18) at the back of the Headrest (17). When adjusting the headrest (17)
ensure that no more than 2 cm (approx. 2 finger's width) remain between the
child's shoulders and the headrest.
ROTATION FUNCTION
Pull the seat rotation handle (20) on the base to turn the car seat.
We recommend to deactivate the L.S.P. before turnig the seat.
Before starting your journey, make sure that the seat is properly locked into place
and the driving direction indicator (22) shows GREEN.
ADJUSTING THE RECLINE POSITION
To adjust the seat to the recline position, press the Position adjustment handle
(19) on the front of the car seat.
We recommend using the flattest recline position for children who are not yet
able to sit recline independently.
Always make sure that the car seat audibly clicks into place when adjusting it to
either the recline or sitting position.
