3.4.4 BLADE ADJUSTMENT
The sliding doors (C Fig. 12) for the discharging of the seeds
from the hopper, have three adjustment positions (Fig. 14):
1) Position 0: when the blade is completely lowered it closes
the seed discharge slot completely and shuts out the
distributor roller to which seeds no longer flow.
2) Position 1: by raising the sliding doors to the first setting, the
medium aperture position indicated in the enclosed table
forsmall seeds is obtained because the discharge slot
comes to be only partially opened.
3) Position 2: this is the position of maximum aperture that is
indicated for medium and large-sized seeds.
3.4.5 SOWING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
Good sprouting requires the seed to be sown at the right depth in
the seedbed. Coulters that work in the tracks of the seeder or
the tractor should be set to greater pressure.
Hoe coulter, disc coulter
The seeding depth is adjusted simultaneously for all planting
devices through a crank (Fig. 15). By rotating it counterclockwise,
a stronger pressure can be exerted on the planting devices to the
ground by means of the extension springs, thus allowing deeper
seeding.
You can further adjust the pressure, separately, changing the
position of the tie-rod (B Fig. 15).
Only with hoe coulters there's a spring (C, Fig. 15), which, when
completely released, allows to reset the weight of the single
spring element (D). In this situation it's possible to make
superficial seedings.
In the external rows raise or lower the pressure by adjusting the
screw (A Fig. 16) and locking it with the nut (B).
In the outer furrowing parts, which work on the tracks of the seed
drill wheels, adjust the working depth by changing the position of
the limiting device (C, Fig. 16).
Disc coulter
With disc coulters is possible to assemble a rear rubber wheel
(Fig. 17), which allows to check the seeding depht. Thanks to a
series of holes, you can set the same seeding depht for all the
coulter elements (Fig. 17).
A) minimum depht: 0 ÷ 0,5 cm
B) maximum depht: 8 cm
IMPORTANT: we advise against the use of the rear wheel on
moist soils.
