3.8 LOADING PLATFORM
Use of the loading (or hopper inspection Fig. 28) platform is only
consented when the planting unit is at a stand still, the wheels
must be standing on level and stable ground (preferably cement).
Ensure that the safety foot has been secured using the appropriate
security pin. There may be one or more safety feet on the planting
unit depending on the model.
3.9 ADJUSTMENT
The tractor must be positioned in alignment with the tractor
wheels. To adjust their position, unscrew the nuts (A, Fig. 30)
position the track removers and lock the nuts. To adjust the depth
of the trace-breaking teeth, unscrew the locknuts (B, Fig. 30) and
the screw (C, Fig. 29) after having adjusted, tighten the screws
and the locknuts.
3.10 SOIL SCRAPERS OF TRANSMISSION WHEELS
The transmission wheels of the seed drill are important and
essential for sowing and are equipped with adjustable soil
scrapers (A, Fig. 30) that allow the wheels to be kept clean and
so guarantee homogeneous distribution of the seeds. To obtain
a good result, periodically check the distance of the soil scraper
from the wheel.
