Check proper positioning of cooking components. Check hopper for sufficient
fuel or if there is an obstruction in the feed system. Remove pellets and
follow care and maintenance instructions. Check grill probe. Confirm if actual
temperature is correct and accurate. Follow care and maintenance instructions
if dirty. Check igniter positioning and that it is heating up properly. In extreme
cold, the grill may require a second start. Turn grill off, wait, then turn on
again. Check fan. Ensure it is working properly. Follow care and maintenance
instructions if dirty.
Remove the access panel and check for any damage to the Grill Probe wires.
Disconnect and reconnect the Grill Probe connectors to the Control Board.
Disconnect the meat probe from the connection port on the Control Board,
and reconnect. Ensure the meat probe adapter is firmly connected. Check
for signs of damage to the adapter end. If still failed, call Customer Care for
replacement part.
Check for signs of damage to the wires of the meat probe. If damaged, call
Customer Care for replacement part.
Control Board needs to be replaced. Contact Customer Care for a replacement
part.
Check burn pot for ash build-up or obstructions. Follow Care and Maintenance
instructions for ash build-up. Check fan. Ensure it is working properly and air
intake is not blocked. Follow Care and Maintenance instructions if dirty. Check
auger motor to confirm operation, and ensure there is no blockage in the
auger tube. Once all the above steps have been done, start the grill, set tem-
perature to SMOKE and wait for 10 minutes. Check that the flame produced is
bright and vibrant.
Check hopper to check that fuel level is sufficient, and replenish if low. Should
the quality of wood pellets be poor, or the length of the pellets too long, this
may cause an obstruction in the feed system. Remove pellets and follow Care
and Maintenance instructions.
Check status of Grill Probe. Follow Care and Maintenance instructions if dirty.
Contact Customer Care for a replacement part if damaged.
Check exhaust holes along the back of the grill barrel to ensure they are not
blocked. Follow Care and Maintenance instructions.
Remove moist wood pellets from hopper. Follow Care and Maintenance
instructions to clean out. Replace with dry wood pellets.
Clear burn pot for moist wood pellets. Follow Auger Priming Procedure.
Check fan. Ensure it is clean, working properly and air intake is not blocked.
Follow Care and Maintenance instructions if dirty.
Attempt cooking at a lower temperature. Grease does have a flash point. Keep
the temperature under 176°C / 350°F when cooking highly greasy food.
Follow Care and Maintenance instructions.
Adjust the damper control tab to ensure the air intake damper is wide open
for maximum airflow to the charcoal tray. Ensure there is no ash build-up or
obstruction. Follow care and maintenance instructions, if needed. Remove the
grill lid if aiming for high temperatures and to allow for more oxygen to the
charcoal tray.
Check charcoal tray to verify that fuel level is sufficient. Add some lighter
cubes, or solid firelighters, to assist with lighting. The recommended use of
charcoal briquettes is a maximum of 0.45 kg / 1 lb per burn.
Thermometer needs to be replaced. Contact Customer Care for replacement
part.

Adjust the damper control tab to lessen the airflow to the charcoal tray. Put on
the grill lid to allow the fuel to smother with lack of oxygen.
For low temperature cooking, use less fuel. Carefully, remove some fuel from
the charcoal tray and place in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid to allow
cinders to cool completely.
Adjust the damper control tab to increase the airflow to the charcoal tray
through the air intake damper. Ensure there is no ash build-up or obstruction.
Follow care and maintenance instructions, if needed. Remove the grill lid if
aiming for high temperatures.
For high temperature cooking, use more fuel. Carefully, add more fuel to the
charcoal tray.
