Operation
c. Then connect the PC to the Air Guard using a LAN
cable. The port is located on the underside of the
Air Guard and is protected by a dust cap. Unscrew the
dust cap and keep it safely.
d. Go to the router's configuration page via a browser by
entering the IP address 192.168.10.100:8080.
e. Use the preset login
credentials:
Username: adm
Password: 123456
f. Then enter the specified
IP address and the
gateway via the
Network > WAN menu
item. (The MAC address can also be read in this mask.)
g. The Air Guard can now be connected to the network
and all other network functions can be set up.
NOTE
In order that the PC used can be reconnected to the network,
the TCP / IPv4 address must be changed to "obtain
automatically" or to the previous settings.
4.4.10 Configuring the Remote Control
1. The SmartClient program (SIMATIC WinCC) from Siemens
is required in order to be able to use the Air Guard's remote
control. The installation file for the program can be
downloaded from the Siemens homepage.
2. After downloading the application, it can be started without
installation.
3. After starting the application, the "external IP address"
stored in the Air Guard must be entered (see chapter
4.4.7).
4. Then enter the password for access to the Air Guard. On
delivery, the password is "airguard". The password can
only be changed by Dräger Service or by Dräger
authorised technical personnel, since special access rights
are required for this.
5. After a successful connection, a window showing the
Air Guard display appears. The keys F1 to F4 correspond
to those below the touchscreen (see chapter 4.4).
6. Using the mouse and keyboard, all entries can now be
made that can also be made directly on the Air Guard's
touchscreen.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unexpected activation of the purge
The purge of the Air Guard, too, can be activated via the
remote control. Purging can occur very unexpectedly for
persons in the vicinity of the Air Guard.
► The operator must introduce suitable preventive measures
so that there are no dangers due to the sudden purging
(e.g. instructing staff on the features of the Air Guard and
wearing hearing protection when working near the Air
Guard).
► Observe national and regional regulations and laws.
28
CAUTION
Risk of injury if hearing protection is not worn
The gas is released at a very high speed during purging and is
extremely loud.
► Hearing protection must be worn during purging.
NOTE
While entries are made via the SmartClient, a warning triangle
appears on the Air Guard's touchscreen, indicating remote
control. Conversely, it is identical if entries are made on the
Air Guard's touchscreen.
4.4.11 Data logging
NOTE
The USB stick must have at least 4 GB of memory and be
formatted with the FAT32 file system for data logging to work.
► The Air Guard can save 500,000 measured values. If the
maximum number of values is exceeded, the oldest
measured values are overwritten. A measured value is
saved every 6 seconds.
► It is recommended that the data be backed up every
month to prevent loss.
To use the data logging feature of the Air Guard, a USB stick
must be inserted in the port provided behind the touchscreen.
The port can be accessed by opening the cabinet when the
device is voltage-free.
4.4.12 Web server
As soon as the Air Guard is integrated in the network and the
static IP address of the server is entered, users can access the
Air Guard through a web browser. The Google Chrome
browser is recommended. The only criterion is that the display
device be within the same network as the Air Guard.
1. Enter the configured IP address in the web browser.
2. Click User pages on the left-hand side.
3. Click the Air Guard web server application start page link.
This opens the Air Guard web application.
The web application displays the same views as the
touchscreen as described in the overview (see chapter 4.4.4)
and Individual display (see chapter 4.4.5) chapters.
4.5
After operation
NOTE
When the Air Guard is turned on but not supplied with
compressed air, increased moisture and oil content values
may be displayed after a while.
Either use the "Intelligent purging" feature or purge the
Air Guard manually as soon as it is again supplied with the
operating pressure required according to the name plate.
