hose, after cutting, has enough slack to cope with
situations when the exhaust hose is stretched up
to the safety connections is releasing.
5
Reassemble the hose and the safety coupling.
6
Check that there is no tension in the hose after the
nozzle has been connected to the exhaust pipe.
4.7.2 Hose holder
See
Figure

The balancer has a factory set lifting power. It is pos-
sible to adjust the lifting power according to the fol-
lowing description.
4.8.1 Increasing the lifting power
1
Loosen the stop ball (C).
2
Unscrew the safety knob (A).
3
Use a locking handle (B) and turn anti-clockwise
one revolution at a time. Each revolution is marked
with a "click" position. Turn until the hose has
moved to the required resting position.
4 Push the stop ball (C) up as far as possible. Fasten
the stop ball in this position.
NOTE!
Make sure the cord protection sleeve is in-
side the stop ball and between the line and
the stop screw.
5
Turn the locking handle, anti-clockwise, one re-
volution more.
6
Fasten the safety knob (A).
4.8.2 Reducing the lifting power

2
Pull the hose to its maximum extent and check
that the balancer winds the hose to its normal po-
sition at an even and steady pace. Hold the hose
by hand while it returns.
4.8.4 Ratchet device
The balancer has a locking system - ratchet device -
that locks the hose in the chosen extended position.
The ratchet device is released if the hose is extended
slightly fur ther In this case, the hose returns to its ori-
ginal position automatically. However, continue hold-
ing the hose until it reaches its resting position.
The ratchet device can be engaged/disengaged with a
control switch. See

4.9 Extra shock absorber
See
Figure
When the exhaust extraction rail is 20 m (66 ft), or
longer, the end stop shall be turned around and an ex-
tra shock absorber shall be mounted in the end stop.
4.10 Fans
Fans are not included in the basic package. Please
contact your Nederman representative for advice on
fan selection.
For the best results, one fan per extraction unit is re-
commended. To get negative pressure in the ducting
system and avoid exhaust leakage, the fan is to be po-
sitioned as near the duct outlet from the room as pos-
sible. It is also possible to connect several units to a
central fan. See
NOTE!
A lockable safety switch is recommended for
the electrical system including the fan.
