Operation
9.3 Permanent gas for inactive channel
DANGeR!
This function is recommended in combination with closed orbital weld heads.
The permanent flow of weld gas keeps the weld torch gear free of oxygen in the idle state. This allows the gas pre-purge time as
well as the process time to be reduced.
The permanent gas can be activated and deactivated by pressing the yellow permanent gas pressure switch integrated in the
ORBITWIN SW.
The active permanent gas is signaled by a yellow signal light integrated in the ORBITWIN SW permanent gas pressure switch.

If permanent gas is also to be supplied to the active channel during idling, the permanent gas function of the power supply must be
used additionally. Read the operating instructions of the power supply to this purpose.
9.4 Functions of the inactive weld torch in the welding process
CAUTION!
As soon as a weld torch is in the welding process, the following functions are available at the torch connected to the inactive
output channel via the torch control panel for setting up and equipping:

If the argon share in the air rises above 50%, lasting damage or risk of death can arise
through suffocation.
X Ensure sufficient ventilation in rooms.
X If necessary, monitor the oxygen level in the air.
X Set the permanent gas volume only to the minimally required volumetric flow rate.
The permanent gas flow is not monitored at the machine. This is the responsibility of the
operator.

Pressing and holding: The rotor rotates until it has reached its "0-position" home position.
