Betriebsarten

5.3.1 „Single" – Einzeltitelwiedergabe
Nach dem Einschalten des CD-Players ist immer die
Einzeltitelwiedergabe aktiviert, die speziell für DJ-
Anwendungen vorgesehen ist:
1. Das Display zeigt „Single" [(e) in Abb. 2].
2. Nach dem Einlesen einer CD oder nach dem An-
wählen eines Titels steht der CD-Player exakt an
der Stelle, an der die Musik beginnt (nicht bei
Zeitindex 0:00:00). Diese Stelle wird automatisch
als Startpunkt gespeichert. Das Display signali-
siert dabei kurz „A CUE" (= Auto Cue). Nach dem
Starten des Titels kann mit der Taste BOP (15)
oder der Taste CUE (16) auf diesen Startpunkt
zurückgesprungen werden.
3. Nach dem Spielen eines Titels schaltet das Gerät
exakt an der Stelle auf Pause, an der die Musik
des nächsten Titels beginnt. Diese Stelle ist dann
als neuer Startpunkt gespeichert.
Wichtiger Hinweis zu MP3-/WMA-Titeln
Bei Titeln im MP3- und WMA-Format ist kein Auto
Cue/Quick Start möglich, d. h. bei Anwahl oder
Erreichen des nächsten Titels bzw. nach dem
Zurückspringen an den Titelanfang mit der Taste
BOP oder CUE steht das Laufwerk nicht exakt an
der Stelle, an der die Musik beginnt, sondern bei
Zeitindex 0:00:00. Dadurch ergibt sich beim Start
des Titels eine kleine Verzögerung, sofern die Auf-
nahme nicht direkt bei 0:00:00 beginnt.
5.3.2 „Continue" – Gesamttitelwiedergabe
Soll ein Titel nach dem anderen kontinuierlich ab-
gespielt werden, mit der Taste CONT./SINGLE–
OUTRO (10) auf Gesamttitelwiedergabe schalten.
Das Display zeigt „Continue" [(e) in Abb. 1]. Zum
Zurückschalten auf Einzeltitelwiedergabe die Taste
erneut betätigen.

automatically memorizes this spot as a starting
point. The display shortly indicates "A CUE"
(= Auto Cue). After starting the title, it is possible
to return to this starting point with the button BOP
(15) or the button CUE (16).
3. After playing a title, the unit is set to pause pre-
cisely at the spot where the music of the next title
starts. This spot is then memorized as a new
starting point.
Important note on MP3/WMA titles
For titles in the MP3 format and WMA format no
Auto Cue/Quick Start is possible, i. e. when se-
lecting or reaching the next title or after returning to
the title beginning with the button BOP or CUE, the
player mechanism is not exactly at the spot where
the music starts but at the time index 0:00:00.
Thus, when starting the title, a small delay occurs
unless the recording directly starts at 0:00:00.
5.3.2 "Continue" – total title replay
For continuous replay of one title after the other,
switch to total title replay with the button CONT./
SINGLE–OUTRO (10). The display shows "Con-
tinue" [(e) in fig. 1]. To return to single title replay,
actuate the button again.
5.3.3 Relay mode – automatic start of the other
player mechanism
At the end of a title or at the end of a CD the other
player mechanism can be started automatically.
A Start of the other player mechanism at the end of a
title
1) Insert a CD into both player mechanisms first
before actuating the button RELAY (2). The LED
above the button lights up.
2) Set both player mechanisms to single title replay
with the button CONT./SINGLE–OUTRO (10):
Both displays must show "Single" [(e), fig. 2].
5.3.3 Relay-Betrieb – automatischer Start des
anderen Laufwerks
Am Ende eines Titels oder am Ende einer CD kann
automatisch das andere Laufwerk gestartet werden.
A Start des anderen Laufwerks am Ende eines Titels
1) Zuerst in beide Laufwerke eine CD einlegen.
Dann erst die Taste RELAY (2) betätigen. Die
LED über der Taste leuchtet.
2) Beide Laufwerke mit der Taste CONT./SINGLE–
OUTRO (10) auf Einzeltitelwiedergabe schalten:
„Single" [(e), Abb. 2] muss in beiden Displays
angezeigt sein.
3) Die Wiedergabe auf einem Laufwerk mit der Tas-
te (17) starten. Das andere Laufwerk muss
auf Pause geschaltet sein.
Sobald der Titel zu Ende gespielt ist, schaltet
das Laufwerk auf Pause und das andere Laufwerk
startet. Dieser Vorgang wird bis zum Ausschalten
des Relay-Betriebs endlos wiederholt. (Zum Aus-
schalten die Taste RELAY erneut drücken.)
4) Wird bei dem auf Pause stehenden Laufwerk eine
andere CD eingelegt, anschließend wieder den
Relay-Betrieb mit der Taste RELAY aktivieren.
Hinweise:
a An jeder Stelle der CD kann mit der Taste
Wiedergabe von einem zum anderen Laufwerk
umgeschaltet werden.
b Wird die Taste CUE (16) des wiedergebenden
Laufwerks betätigt, wechselt die Wiedergabe
zum anderen Laufwerk.
c Wird an dem auf Pause stehenden Laufwerk die
Taste CUE gedrückt gehalten, erfolgt die Wieder-
gabe von diesem Laufwerk so lange, bis die
Taste wieder gelöst wird.
B Start des anderen Laufwerks am Ende einer CD
1) Zuerst in beide Laufwerke eine CD einlegen.
Dann erst die Taste RELAY (2) betätigen. Die
LED über der Taste leuchtet
2) Beide Laufwerke mit der Taste CONT./SINGLE–
OUTRO (10) auf Gesamttitelwiedergabe schalten:
3) Start the replay on one player mechanism with
the button (17). The other player mechanism
must be set to pause.
As soon as the title has been played to the
end, the player mechanism is set to pause and
the other player mechanism starts. This proce-
dure is continuously repeated until the relay
mode is deactivated. (To switch off actuate the
button RELAY once again.)
4) If another CD is inserted into the player mecha-
nism set to pause, activate the relay operation
again with the button RELAY.
Notes:
a On any spot of the CD, the replay can be
switched from one player mechanism to the other
with the button .
b If the button CUE (16) of the replaying player
mechanism is actuated, the replay changes to
the other player mechanism.
c If the button CUE is kept pressed at the player
mechanism set to pause, the replay from this
player mechanism continues until the button is
released.
B Start of the other player mechanism at the end of a
CD
1) Insert a CD into both player mechanisms first
before actuating the button RELAY (2). The LED
above the button lights up.
2) Set both player mechanisms to total title replay
with the button CONT./SINGLE–OUTRO (10):
"Continue" [(e), fig. 1] must be indicated in both
displays.
3) Set one player mechanism to stop: Keep the but-
ton TIME/STOP (11) pressed for approx. 3 sec-
onds until "STOP" appears in the display.
4) Start the replay on the other player mechanism
with the button (17). At the end of the CD, the
other player mechanism starts. This procedure is
„Continue" [(e), Abb. 1] muss in beiden Displays
angezeigt sein.
3) Ein Laufwerk auf Stopp schalten: Die Taste TIME/
STOP (11) ca. 3 Sekunden gedrückt halten, bis
im Display „STOP" erscheint.
4) Die Wiedergabe auf dem anderen Laufwerk mit
der Taste (17) starten. Am Ende der CD startet
das andere Laufwerk. Der Vorgang wiederholt sich
bis zum Ausschalten des Relay-Betriebs. (Zum
Ausschalten die Taste RELAY erneut drücken.)
5) Wird bei dem nicht spielenden Laufwerk eine
andere CD eingelegt, anschließend wieder den
Relay-Betrieb mit der Taste RELAY aktivieren.

5.3.4 Ruhemodus

Stehen beide Laufwerke länger als 30 Minuten auf
Pause, schaltet das Gerät automatisch in den Ruhe-
modus. Die Laser-Abtastsysteme sind dann abge-
schaltet und werden somit geschont. Das Display
zeigt „Sleep" (Schlaf) und alle beleuchteten Tasten
sowie alle LEDs an der Steuereinheit erlöschen.
Durch Betätigen irgendeiner Taste wird in den norma-
len Betriebsmodus zurückgeschaltet. Die Laufwerke
stehen danach exakt an der Stelle der CD, an der sie
vor dem Einschalten des Ruhemodus standen.
Hinweis: Steht ein Laufwerk auf Stopp oder ist bei
die
einem Laufwerk keine CD eingelegt, schal-
tet das Gerät nicht in den Ruhemodus.

5.4 Anspielen eines Titels

1) Nach dem Einlegen einer CD den gewünschten
Titel anwählen (siehe Kap. 5.1.1).
2) Erscheint im Display die Laufzeit (g) des Titels,
die Taste CUE (16) gedrückt halten. Der Titel wird
so lange angespielt, wie die Taste gedrückt wird.
3) Nach dem Loslassen der Taste CUE springt das
Gerät auf den Titelanfang zurück und schaltet auf
Pause. Zum Starten des Titels die Taste
drücken. Auf den Titelanfang kann weiterhin mit
der Taste CUE zurückgesprungen werden.
Für das Anspielen von Titeln im MP3- und WMA-
Format siehe den Hinweis in Kap. 5.3.1.

5) If another CD is inserted into the player mecha-
nism not playing, activate the relay mode again
with the button RELAY.

5.3.4 Sleep mode

If both player mechanisms are set to pause for a
period exceeding 30 minutes, the unit automatically
goes to the sleep mode. In this case, both laser
systems are switched off for the purpose of conser-
vation. "Sleep" is displayed and all illuminated but-
tons and all LEDs on the control unit are extin-
guished. By actuating any button the unit returns to
the normal operating mode. Then the player mecha-
nisms are precisely at the spot of the CD where they
were before the unit was set to the sleep mode.
Note: If a player mechanism is set to stop or if
there is no CD inserted in one player
mechanism, the unit will not go to the sleep
mode.

5.4 Short replay of a title beginning

1) After inserting a CD, go to the desired title (see
chapter 5.1.1).
2) If the display shows the playing time (g) of the
title, keep the button CUE (16) pressed. The
beginning of the title is played as long as the but-
ton is pressed.
3) After releasing the button CUE, the unit returns to
the title beginning and is set to pause. Press the
button (17) to start the title. It is still possible
to return to the title beginning with the button
CUE.
