b. Remove the training heat exchanger from the
breathing hose.
c. Prepare a disinfectant bath of water and a suitable
disinfectant.
d. Place the training heat exchanger in the disinfectant
bath.
e. Thoroughly rinse under running water.
5. Dry all parts in the air or in a drying cabinet (temperature:
max. 60 °C). Do not expose to direct sunlight.
5.2
Reassembling the device
1. Ensure that the hose ring and the starter line are attached
to the training heat exchanger.
2. Push the buckle to the end of the neck strap.
3. Close the neck strap. Ensure that both parts do not get
twisted.
4. Assembling the training heat exchanger:
a. Position the training heat exchanger in such a way that
the gum seal of the mouthpiece points towards the
breathing bag.
b. Slide the breathing hose onto the hose connection of
the training heat exchanger.
c. Slide the O-ring from the breathing hose onto the
training heat exchanger.
5. Fold the chest strap:
a. Push the buckles to the end of the chest strap.

b. Fold the chest strap together at the folds like an
accordion and fix with a rubber band (1) on the side
where there is no buckle.

6. Attach the spectacles:
a. Adjust the strap.
b. Attach the goggles to the button strap.
c. Attach the button strap to the cartridge.
d. Attach the spectacles to the cartridge.
Dräger Oxy 3000 T: Insert the inner side of the
spectacles into the brackets on the underside of the
cartridge.
Dräger Oxy 6000 T: Fold over and tuck in the ends of
the spectacles. Insert the outer side of the spectacles
into the brackets on the underside of the cartridge.
7. Push the strap buckle onto the cartridge.
8. Fold up the breathing bag on the cartridge. Pull the edges
tightly into the centre to ensure the breathing bag is folded
up as small as possible.
a. Put down the training device and ensure the breathing
bag is free from any interference (1).
b. Fold down the upper edge of the breathing bag (2).
c. Fold up the lower edge of the breathing bag (3).
d. Fold first corner into the centre (4).
e. Fold second corner under the first corner (5).
f. Place folded chest harness on the breathing bag (6).
g. Fold third corner into the centre (7).
h. Fold fourth corner into the centre (8).
