Operating Modes
Standby Mode
Once the machine is switched on, it
automatically goes into Standby
mode, awaiting a command. In
Standby mode, the single cup
button (2) and the double cup
button (3) indicator lights stay lit,
and the thermoblock technology
maintains the temperature.
Programming Mode
You can program the espresso
maker to the ideal temperature and
to account for water hardness, each
of which can impact the quality of
your coffee. To enter Program
mode:
1.
Make sure the machine is in
Standby mode.
2.
Press and hold the steam
button (4) for 5 seconds.
3.
When the indicator lights on
the buttons flash consecutively,
the programming menu has
been accessed.
NOTE: If the machine is
inactive for 15 seconds, it
automatically switches to
Standby mode.

When in Programming mode,
press the single cup button
(2) to enter the temperature
settings.
Once pressed, take notice of
the indicator lights, which ones
are on or off, and compare
them with the table below to
interpret the current
temperature level. In the
following table, an "X" indicates
a light is ON. NOTE: The
default temperature setting is
HIGH.
