Operation
Before Using the Espresso Maker for the First Time
Unpack and Clean
1. Remove the machine from the
packaging and ensure all parts
and accessories are present
(see previous section for a
complete list).
2. Handwash all removable parts
with warm, soapy water, (Do
NOT wash them in a
dishwasher; do NOT immerse
the machine itself in water or
other liquid).
3. Clean the machine itself by
running clean water through it
2-3 times.
a. Fill the water tank (see
next section).
b. Follow the coffee making
process, but do NOT use
coffee in the filter.
c. Repeat until clean.
WARNING: The first time you use
the machine, water may not come
out of the brew head area. If this
happens, turn the hot water/steam
knob (8) counterclockwise all the
way to the open position. If, on the
other hand, water spurts out from

the steam tube (10), turn the hot
water/steam knob (8) clockwise to
the closed position.
Fill the Water Tank
Fill the tank before turning the
machine on.

Alternatively, instead of removing
the water tank, fill it by pouring
water directly from a bottle.
IMPORTANT:

Open the water tank cover (7)
and remove the water tank (9)
by pulling upwards.
Fill the tank with fresh, clean
water, making sure it does not
exceed the "MAX" level.
Replace the tank, pressing
lightly to open the valve
located on the bottom of the
tank.
Water will collect in the space
under the tank over time. This
is normal but makes it
necessary to dry it out
regularly with a sponge.
