LISTENING TO CASSETTE TAPES
Basic Operation

e Press the EJECT button (4) after checking that Tape I and Tape
II are not playing a tape.
eOnly Type I (Normal) tapes can be played.
1. Press the EJECT button, and load a cassette tape in Tape I
or Tape IL.
2. Close the cassette deck door.
3. if tapes are loaded in both Tape I and Tape I, use the TAPE
T/Ul function button to select which tape plays first.

Tape II
The selected tape starts playing.
4. Press the TAPE-PLAY/DIR
button to select tape playback
direction.

The tape in Tape I plays forward () only.
5. To stop playback, press the STOP button.
NOTE:
When tapes are loaded in both Tape I and Tape If, relay play is
possible as shown below. (With playback of up to 16 tape sides
on Tape IL.)

With a tape loaded in Tape II only, continuous play is possible for
up to 16 tape sides.
Music search, fast forward and rewind
Music search {MS function) (XR-A200 only)
Press the

button while a tape is playing.
This lets you search up to 15 tracks ahead of the current track,
or up to 14 tracks back.
