USING THE TIMER

Before beginning
@ Prepare the desired component for playback.
CD
: Load a disc.
Tuner
: Tune into the station you want to listen to. The
station
selected
during
timer
setting
is
memorized.
Tape
: Loadacassette tape. (Playback starts from Tape L}

@) Adjust votume level with the volume knob.
The volume level at the time of setting the timer is
memorized.
Example
: Setting to operate from 7:30 to 8:00 AM (set to switch
to an 82.50 MHz FM broadcast}.
1. Switch on the power, and press the TUNER/BAND
button.
(If you select a tape or CD, play automatically starts, so be
sure to press the STOP button.)
2. Press the TIMER/WAKE-UP button.
If you have already set the timer, the previously set time is
displayed.
3. Set the time you want timer operation to start.
@ Set the hour — press the TIMER/WAKE-UP button.
2) Set the minute — press the TIMER/WAKE-UP
button.
4, Set the time you want timer operation to stop.
& Set the hour > press the TIMER/WAKE-UP button.
(2) Set the minute > press the TIMER/AWAKE-UP button.
5. Unit automatically confirms the setting mode.
6. Switch power off.
To cancel timer operation:
When the timer indicator (@)) is lit, press the TIMER/AWAKE-UP
button. (The timer indicator goes out.)
NOTES:
e The wake-up timer and recording timer cannot be used together.
e /f you do not cancel the wake-up timer, it will operate everyday
at the set time.
e To change timer settings, or when you make a mistake while
performing settings, repeat the setting procedure from the
initial step.
e Pressing the TIMER/WAKE-UP button during timer operation
cancels timer operation.
