FUN WITH THE KARAOKE
FUNCTIONS
The Karaoke function virtually eliminates the vocal track from
stereo sources (CDs, tapes, etc.). Select the Karaoke mode with
the KARAOKE
button on the remote contro! unit, connect a
microphone,
and you can easily enjoy karaoke with regular
music software. (This function does not, however, completely
eliminate the original vocal track, and is not effective with
monaural sources.)
1. Connect a microphone to the mic jack.
Use a mic with a mini-plug (3.5 mm diameter).
2. Select the desired component for play with the function
buttons.
3. Select karaoke with the KARAOKE button on the remote
control unit.
Each time you press the button, the setting changes
as
follows:
KARAOKE
(Vocal cancel)
*
»
OFF
4. Set volume to the desired level.
5. Adjust mic volume level with the MIC LEVEL control knob.
To cancel the karaoke function:
Press the KARAOKE button on the remote control unit to switch
OFF.
NOTES:
e When using only one mic, connect to the MAIN jack.
e When using the karaoke function, you can mix your voice with
the music and record on Tape I.
e The karaoke function is less effective with tapes than with
other sources.
@ When the TAPE Il function is selected, Karaoke mixing recording
is not possible.
e With songs featuring duet performances, music sources with
vocals on left and right stereo channels, and music sources
with a lot of echo, the Karaoke function may not be very
effective. Recording conditions of the source also influence its
effectiveness.
e/n the event of howling, perform the following operations:
@ Move the mic away from the speakers.
(@ Reduce mic volume level by turning the MIC LEVEL control
knob anticlockwise.
@ Reduce volume level.
