Faults, causes and remedies
DANGER
Danger due to fluids which are hazardous to health!
Pumps in fluids which are dangerous to health pose a danger to life! Wear the following
protective equipment during work:
• Closed safety goggles
• Breathing mask
• Protective gloves
⇒ The listed equipment is the minimum requirement, observe the information
from the work regulations! The operator must ensure that the personnel have
received and read the work regulations!
DANGER
Electrocution hazard!
Improper conduct when carrying out electrical work causes death due to electric shock!
Electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with the local
regulations.
DANGER
Risk of fatal injury due to dangerous lone working practices!
Working in pump chambers and tight spaces as well as working where there is a danger
of falling is dangerous work. This work must not be carried out alone! A second person
must be present for safety reasons.
WARNING
It is forbidden for people to be present in the working area of the pump!
During pump operation people can sustain (serious) injuries! Therefore no persons are al-
lowed in the working area during operation. If people have to enter the working space of
the pump, the pump must be decommissioned and secured against unauthorized switch-
on!
WARNING
Sharp edges on the impeller and suction port!
Sharp edges can form on the impeller and suction port. There is a danger of limbs being
severed! Protective gloves must be worn against cutting injuries.
Fault: Pump does not start
1. Interruption in the power supply or short-circuit/ground fault on the core or motor
winding.
⇒ Have the connection and motor checked by a qualified electrician and replaced if
necessary.
2. Triggering of fuses, the motor protection switch or the monitoring devices

changed if necessary.
