Precautions to avoid damaging
the appliance:
• Pans with an unpolished base (un-
glazed cast iron,...) or a damaged
base can damage the glass cera-
mic.
• The presence of sand or other
abrasive materials may damage
the glass ceramic.
• Avoid dropping objects, even sma-
ll ones, on the glass ceramic.
• Do not strike the edges of the glass
with pans.
• Make sure that the appliance is
ventilated according to the manu-
facturer's instructions.
• Do not place or leave empty pans
on the hob.
• Do not allow sugar, synthetic mate-
rials or aluminium foil to touch hot
areas. These substances may cau-
se cracks or other changes to the
glass ceramic surface when they
cool down: switch off the applian-
ce and remove them immediately
from the cooking zone while it is
still hot (caution: danger of burns).
• WARNING: Fats and oils on the
hob can catch fire.
