TROUBLESHOOTING HSB
Engine will not crank/turn over
1 HSB set in "OFF" mode.

Battery not connected or loose, corroded posts or wires

Battery(s) not charged or low charge.
4 Check for active fault code.
5 Defective starter solenoid *

Defective starter *

Either engine switch is in the OFF position.
Generator will crank/turn over but will not start
1 Check for active fault code.
2 Fuel valve(s) turned off.

Fuel pressure insufficient*.

Weak battery(s).
5 Low oil level.
6 Spark plug wire is disconnected.

Defective fuel solenoid/regulator. *
Engine starts, runs rough

Fuel pressure insufficient*.
2 Wrong fuel jets.

Faulty spark plug, loose spark plug wire.

Plugged air cleaner
5 Generator overloaded*.

Place the HSB controllers in the AUTO position.
Connect the batteries according to owner's manual, clean and tighten
the battery connections
Recharge or replace battery(s).
Identify fault code, correct and reset.
Check both engine switches are in the ON position (inside and on the
back of the enclosure).
Identify fault code, correct and reset.
Turn on fuel supply.
Manometer check, confirm fuel pressure to fuel regulator*.
Recharge or replace battery(s)
Check for oil leaks. Check the oil level and add oil if necessary.
Connect spark plug wire.
Manometer check, confirm fuel pressure to fuel regulator*.
Check jets for NG or LPG, change to correct Master Mixer fuel jets.
Change spark plug, set gap, connect wire.
Clean or replace air cleaner.
Remove one or more loads*.
