Selections by the User
For adequate rounded results and for a correct
application of thresholds, select, before the measuring
run:

Selecting the Type of Vehicle
In INTRO SCREEN page (Fig. 5-15b). Select the
TYPE of VEHICLE Item according to the rim. (Fig.
4-5)
When the selection has been made, the Type of
Vehicle in use identification icon will be displayed in
the Information Field.

1 Standard vehicle wheel (car)- nominal dimensions in
inches. The measuring unit (inches) is displayed.
Normal and Alu 1 to Alu 5 weight positioning can
be selected.
Note: When operating on standard Vehicle wheels
with nominal dimensions in millimetres (e.g. TD
or TRX wheels), once the RIM DATA ENTRY
screen has been displayed (Fig. 4-6), press on
the rim Diameter or Width values to change the
measuring unit to millimetres.
2 SUV vehicle wheel - nominal dimensions in inches.
The threshold value for suppression of minor
unbalances is automatically doubled when this type
is chosen.
3 Light industry vehicle wheel (Van) - nominal
dimensions in inches. The threshold value for
suppression of minor unbalances is automatically
doubled when this type is chosen.
4 M o t o r c y c l e w h e e l - n o m i n a l d i m e n s i o n s
in inches, with imbalances resolved and
suppressed in the same way as car wheels.
