4. Tighten the sawhead tilt lock lever.
The lever must be able to be tight-
ened noticeably.
5. Release notch lever for track arm
holder in 0° position.
6. Check the track arm holder by
pressing against the side of it. The
track arm holder must not be able to
be moved.
If the track arm holder can still be
moved after this:
Repeat steps 2 to 6. Loosen or
tighten the hexagon screw accord-
ingly.
7. Replace track arm holder cover and
secure with the screw.
Adjusting the laser guide
Use the supplied hex key (2.5mm) to
adjust the laser.

Cleaning the machine

Remove chips and saw dust with a
hand brush or vacuum cleaner from:
– the setting devices;
– the operating elements;
– the motor ventilation slots;
– the space below the table insert;
and
– the pull rods.
Clean the laser unit using a cotton
cloth.

Storage

A
Danger!
Store the saw in such a way that it
cannot be started by unauthorised
persons.
Make sure that nobody can get in-
jured by the stored machine.

Caution!
Do not store saw unprotected out-
doors or in damp environments.
Observe the permissible ambient
conditions (see 'Technical Data').

Maintenance

Prior to every use
Remove sawdust with vacuum
cleaner or brush.
Check mains cable and plug for
damage; if necessary have dam-
aged parts replaced by a qualified
electrician.
Check all moving parts to see that
they can move freely across their
whole range of travel.
Periodically, depending on operat-
ing conditions
Check drive belt condition and ten-
sion; correct if necessary.
Check all screwed joints; retighten if
necessary.
Check pull-back springs of the saw-
head (the sawhead must return by
spring force to its upper starting po-
sition); replace if necessary.
Apply light coat of oil to all guide el-
ements.

Tips and Tricks

– For long stock use suitable supports
on both sides of the saw.
– When making cuts that will result in
small cutoffs, use an auxiliary fence
(this may be a suitable wooden
board fixed to the machine's fence
with screws).
– When cutting warped or bent work-
pieces, make sure that you place
the workpiece so that the convex
side (i.e. the outer side of the bow)
is against the fence:
– Do not cut stock standing on edge;
always place it flat on the rotating
table.
– Keep the support surfaces clean – in
particular, remove resin residue with
a suitable cleaning and maintenance
spray.
