Piece with Cable Lock. The lock is operated via cable.

The 16X14 Elbow Joint Bar is freely movable. It is equipped with the
16Y31=N Joint Piece without Lock.

7° increments.
4 Handling
4.1 Installation preparation
In order to determine the position and length of the 16X12 elbow joint
bars, temporarily attach all components (including the adapter and
hand) to the shaped foam part. To ensure easy access to the cable of
the 16Y27 joint piece with cable lock, the joint piece should be adjusted
on the lateral side (Fig. 1).
For a unilateral fitting, the distal thumb end and the pivot point of the el-
bow joint are crucial for determining the length of the components.
For a bilateral fitting, the focus is on the functionality of the prosthesis.
When adapting the length, make sure the prosthesis allows the patient a
high degree of freedom of movement.
16X12
A pre-fabricated inner socket and above-elbow harness system must be
prepared as a prerequisite for the assembly with the 16X12 Elbow Joint
Bars. Assemble both components (fig. 3). You will also need a foam part
for fabrication of the outside socket.
Before assembling the 16X12 Elbow Joint Bars, check whether the 16Y27
Joint Piece with Cable Lock must be installed on the medial or lateral side.
