Leaking or faulty pressure reducers, e.g., with a
damaged sealing ring, may lead to malfunc-
tions of the connected device.
Check the pressure reducer for damage before
installation.

Oil and grease may react violently with some
compressed gases.
Keep the pressure reducer and connected de-
vices clean and free of oil and grease.
Do not oil or grease connectors, such as valves
of compressed gas cylinders and pressure re-
ducers, and do not touch with greasy hands.

Before connecting the pressure reducer, make
sure that the gas type of the pressure reducer
and of the gas cylinder match.

Prevent gas cylinders with pressure reducers
from being damaged:
– Secure gas cylinders from tipping over.
– Do not apply external forces or loads.
– Protect gas cylinders from heat.

inders only slowly and evenly by hand. Do not
use any tools.

Safety notes for pressure reducers
The gas lines of devices that are connected to pres-
sure reducers have to be designed to withstand at
least twice the rated output pressure.
WARNING
Risk of personal injury
The pressure reducer is equipped with an inter-
nal relief valve. In case of a fault, medical gas
may escape into the ambient air.
Do not obstruct or cover the relief valve.
The relief valve does not protect connected de-
vices from excessively high output pressure.
WARNING
Risk of patient injury
The pressure reducer is not equipped with a
pressure gauge to measure the output pres-
sure.
If monitoring of the output pressure is required
during operation, the monitoring must be done
through the connected device.

– Flammable gases
