Intended use
Single-stage fixed pressure reducer without equali-
zation of the input pressure, to reduce the pressure
of compressed medical gases.
–
To be connected to compressed gas cylinders
–
Reduction from a maximum input pressure of
200 kPa x 100 (200 bar or 2900 psi)* to an out-
put pressure of 5 kPa x 100 (5 bar or 72.5 psi)
–
Available for medical compressed air (AIR), oxy-
gen (O
), carbon dioxide (CO
)** or laughing gas

Preparation
WARNING
Risk of user injury
Only use clean, undamaged, reprocessed parts.
Use dust-free and dry gases only.
Keep the valve of the compressed gas cylinder
clean.
NOTE
Use the rating plate to check whether the present
pressure reducer is suitable for the intended use
(gas type, pressure, flow). The maximum permissi-
ble input pressure of the pressure reducer must be
equal to or higher than the filling pressure of the
compressed gas cylinder.
1
In well ventilated rooms or outdoors, slowly open
the valve of the compressed gas cylinder for a
short time to blow out any impurities prior to con-
necting the pressure reducer.
WARNING
Risk of injury
Pressure surges induced by the quick opening
of the valve may cause explosions.
Do not direct the gas jet at persons.
WARNING
Risk of material damage and leakage
Tighten connectors only by hand. Using tools
may damage the connectors or cause them to
be over-tightened.
