Preparing Tropic plus
Nebulizing directly from nebulizer chamber

 Fill the nebulizer chamber to the max. mark with nebulizing
fluid.
 Insert the nebulizer chamber (A) into Tropic plus. Observe the
preferred position.
 Press the lid onto the nebulizer chamber.
 Connect the bacterial filter (B) to the fan connection on the
housing.
 Connect the short hose (C) to the nozzle on the bacterial filter
and to the nozzle on the lid.
 Fit the long hose (D) to the second nozzle on the lid and push
it into the clips on the hinged arm. Guide the hose upwards in
such a way that condensate can flow back into the nebulizer
chamber.
 Secure the lid of the nebulizer chamber with the holding-down
device.
Nebulizing with standard disposable sterilized water systems

 Fill the nebulizer chamber with distilled water until the sterile
water system is wetted up to the mark for contact water
(shaded area). The distilled water in the nebulizer chamber
serves to transmit the oscillations to the sterile water system.
 Prepare the sterile water system as specified in the respective
instructions for use and fit it onto the nebulizer chamber in
place of the lid.
 Connect the hoses and secure the sterile water system in posi-
tion with the holding-down device.
The contact water must be changed after every use, but at least
once a day.
NOTE
Make sure that the nebulizer chamber and the sterile water sys-
tem contain a sufficient amount of liquid.
Nebulizing from the disposable medication container
For nebulizing small quantities of medication.
Only use original Dräger medication containers.
NOTE
Use only disposable hoses and disposable medication contain-
ers for medication nebulization. Dispose of the hoses and the
medication containers after single use.
NOTE
Medication nebulization must only be carried out as directed by
a medical professional.
NOTE
Follow the instructions of the medication manufacturer regard-
ing the suitability of the medication for nebulization.

 Fill the medication into the medication container, cover it with
the lid and place it in the nebulizer chamber.
 Connect the hoses and secure the medication container in
position with the holding-down device.

once a day.
