NOTE
Make sure that the nebulizer chamber contains a sufficient
amount of liquid.
Do not allow the medication container to run dry.
Nebulization with refilling system

 Place the prepared refilling system (A) onto the nebulizer
chamber instead of the lid. Connect the hoses and secure the
refilling system in place with the down-holding device.
 The height difference between the nebulizer chamber and the
container (bag/bottle) must not exceed 1000 mm.
 Pierce the container with the transfer set (E), e.g., Intrafix Air
by B. Braun or Caleo transfer set (MX17018). Do not kink the
hose.
 The container must be ventilated maintaining sterile condi-
tions.
Functional test of refilling system
When the container has been connected, check operation of the
float:
 Fluid runs into the nebulizer chamber.
 Feed stops automatically when the fluid has reached its level
(range between min. and max. mark).
In the event of a fault, clean the float valve and check operation
again. Then put the ultrasonic nebulizer into operation.
End of operation of refilling system
After operation, lock the feed of the container, e.g., by closing the
knurled screw on the transfer set (E).

Functional test

Check the functioning of the device prior to every use and after
every reprocessing procedure.

 Set the toggle switch at the back to "I" (on).
 Turn the setting knob for the nebulizer output (A) to the middle
setting. This switches on the transducer, the fan, and the hose
heater.
 The green light (B) is lit.
 Turn the setting knob for the air flow (C) to the middle setting.
 Waves form on the surface of the nebulizer fluid and droplets
of mist form at the opening of the hose.
 It takes about 2 minutes for the heated hose to warm up.
 Remove the nebulizer chamber from Tropic plus.
 The red light (D) is lit and a signal tone can be heard. The sig-
nal tone stops after approx. 2 minutes.
 Put the nebulizer chamber back into Tropic plus.
 Turn the device off and on again using the setting knob (A).
The red light goes out.
