Location and Function of Parts
1 Analog audio output connectors (XLR 3-pin,
male)
Output 4-channel analog audio signals obtained from
MPEG audio data decoding.
CH1: Audio channel 1 signal
CH2: Audio channel 2 signal
CH3: Audio channel 3 signal
CH4: Audio channel 4 signal
2 REF IN (reference video input) connectors
(BNC type)
Input a reference video signal (composite video signal
or black burst signal).
3 Analog video output connectors (BNC type) and
COMPOSITE/COMPONENT switches
The three connectors output analog composite or
component video signals obtained from MPEG-2 data
decoding. When the above-mentioned REF IN
connector 2 receives a reference video signal, a video
signal is output in synchronization with that signal.
With no reference signal input to REF IN, the video
signal is output in synchronization with with the signal
input to the REF VIDEO IN connector described on
page 12.
When the switch is set to COMPOSITE: The same
analog composite signal is output from all three
connectors.
When the switch is set to COMPONENT: Analog
component signals (Y, R–Y, B–Y) are output
from these three connectors.
