Use only disposable hoses and disposable medication containers for medication nebulization. Dispose of
the hoses and the medication containers after single use.
Medication nebulization must only be carried out as directed by a medical professional.
Follow the instructions of the medication manufacturer regarding the suitability of the medication for
nebulization.
Make sure that the nebulizer chamber contains a sufficient amount of liquid.
Do not allow the medication container to run dry
6.4.4
Nebulization with refilling system (optional)
Refilling systems permanently supply liquid to fill the nebulizer chamber.
Functional test of refilling system
When the container has been connected, check operation of the float:
•
Fluid runs into the nebulizer chamber.
•
Feed stops automatically when the fluid has reached its level (range between min. and max. mark).
In the event of a fault, clean the float valve and check operation again. Then put the ultrasonic nebulizer into
operation.
End of operation of refilling system
After operation, lock the feed of the container, e.g., by closing the knurled screw on the transfer set.

Mounting the medication container
Special insert (Optional accessories) for the nebulizer chamber to
nebulize medication
Fill the nebulizer chamber with distilled water until the sterile water
system is wetted up to the mark [1] for contact water (shaded area).
The distilled water in the nebulizer chamber serves to transmit the
oscillations to the medication container.
Fill the medication into the medication container [2], cover it with
the lid [3] and place it in the nebulizer chamber.
Connect the hoses and secure the medication container in position
with the holding-down device.
The contact water must be changed after every use, but at least
once a day.
Place the prepared refilling system [3] onto the nebulizer chamber
instead of the lid. Connect the hoses and secure the refilling system
in place with the holding-down device.
The height difference between the nebulizer chamber and the
container (bag/bottle) must not exceed 1000 mm.
Pierce the container with the transfer set, e.g., Intrafix Air by B.
Braun. Do not kink the hose.
The container must be ventilated maintaining sterile conditions.
