External Sealing of the Harsh Enclosure

For external sealing of the harsh enclosure, refer to Figure 2-64 and Figure 2-67
and follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the appropriate approval region has been selected in setup under
Scale > Type > Approval and that the Metrology security switch SW1-1 is in
the "on" position.
2. If the enclosure is open, press the front panel down toward the enclosure so
that it snaps in place on all four corners.
3. Thread the end of the wire seal through one of the oval holes and through the
corresponding clip on the bottom edge of the IND560 PDX front panel.
It is recommended not to use the small round hole in the bottom edge of the
IND560 PDX front panel as the seal cannot be installed there when the unit is
closed.
4. Thread the end of the wire cable through the hole in the plastic seal (as shown
in Figure 2-67), remove any remaining slack in the wire, and snap the seal
shut.
5. Trim off any excess wire.
